Recent Advances in All-Solid-State Lithium–Oxygen Batteries: Challenges, Strategies, Future

Digital platforms, electric vehicles, and renewable energy grids all rely on storage systems, with lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) as the predominant technology. However, current density of LIBs is insufficient to meet long-term objectives these applications, traditional flammable liquid electrolytes pose safety concerns. All-solid-state lithium–oxygen (ASSLOBs) are emerging a promising next-generation technology potential densities up ten times higher than those LIBs. ASSLOBs utilize non-flammable solid-state (SSEs) offer superior mechanical stability. face challenges, including high interface resistances unstable lithium-metal anodes. In recent years, significant progress has been proceeded in developing new materials interfaces that improve performance stability ASSLOBs. This review provides comprehensive overview advances challenges ASSLOB technology, design principles strategies for high-performance SSEs, cathodes, anodes, engineering. Overall, this highlights valuable insights into state art future directions
